THE HOLY CROSS CHAPEL (BAMONVADDO)

  On 28th July, 1978 the statue of Our Lady of Vailankanni was blessed in the church of Siolim during solemn High Mass and soon after it was carried from the church to Holy Cross Chapel of Bamonvaddo, in a nicely decorated chariot, followed by huge line of her devotes and there after it was placed on the chapels altar.

  The statue was brough from Madras and offered by Mr. John Fernandes from mangglore. From then on  the novenas were started in the chapel, which is on the right side of the road which goes to Tarchibhatt. The novena is on every Saturday evening at 4:00 pm.

  The feast of Our Lady of Vailankanni is being celebrated every year on the 2nd Saturday of November.

  The extension of this chapel was done on 11th June, 1979 by public contribution.
